Weis Markets Keeps Dividend Steady

Updated

Mid-Atlantic grocery store chain Weis Marketsannounced yesterday its third-quarter dividend of $0.30 per share, the same rate it's paid for the past six quarters.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on Aug. 5 to the holders of record at the close of business on July 22. The grocery store chain has made quarterly payouts to investors since at least 1991. It paid a special dividend of $1.30 per share in December 2011.

The regular dividend payment equates to a $1.20-per-share annual dividend, yielding 2.5% based on the closing price of Weis Markets' stock on July 11.
