Washington Gas Energy Services Ranked Among Top Retail Energy Suppliers in Customer Satisfaction By J.D. Power
HERNDON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Washington Gas Energy Services, Inc. (WGES) ranked second in residential customer satisfaction among Maryland competitive electricity suppliers, according to the J.D. Power 2013 Retail Electric Provider Satisfaction Study℠. The study was the first conducted by J.D. Power covering the Maryland energy market.
"The results of this J.D. Power study demonstrate that our approach to delivering value to our residential electricity customers is on target," said Harry Warren, president of Washington Gas Energy Services. "We are proud of the customer satisfaction ranking we received and will use the detailed information provided in the study to identify opportunities to increase satisfaction among our customers throughout Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, Pennsylvania and Delaware."
The J.D. Power study measured satisfaction by examining five key areas: price; communications; corporate citizenship; enrollment/renewal; and customer service. Results indicated that Maryland customers were among the most satisfied with their electricity suppliers across the eight states included in the study.
