Pengrowth Energy Sets Dates for Next Dividend

Canada's Pengrowth Energy continues to shower dividends from north of the border. The company has set the date for its next monthly common stock distribution of C$0.04 ($0.04) per share, which will be August 15 for shareholders of record as of July 22. That amount matches each of the firm's previous distributions stretching back to December of last year. Prior to that, Pengrowth Energy paid $0.07 per share.

In the press release announcing the news, the firm cautioned that U.S. residents holding its shares in taxable accounts are subject to Canadian withholding taxes on the distribution.

The dividend annualizes to C$0.48 ($0.46) per share. That yields 9% at Pengrowth Energy's most recent closing stock price of $5.11.
