CVS Caremark Keeps Quarterly Dividend Steady at $0.225

Pharmacy chain and prescription benefits manager CVS Caremarkannounced yesterday its third-quarter dividend of $0.225 per share, the same rate it's paid for the past two quarters after raising the payout 38% from $0.1625 per share.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on Aug. 2 to the holders of record at the close of business on July 22. The pharmacy chain has made quarterly payouts to investors since 1997. The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.90-per-share annual dividend, yielding 1.5% based on the closing price of CVS Caremark's stock on July 10.
