Albemarle Keeps Dividend Steady

Specialty chemicals maker Albemarleannounced yesterday its third-quarter dividend of $0.24 per share, the same rate it's paid for the past two quarters after raising the payout 20% from $0.20 per share.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on Oct. 1 to the holders of record at the close of business on Sept. 13. The specialty chemicals maker has made quarterly payouts to investors since 1994.

The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.96-per-share annual dividend, yielding 1.5% based on the closing price of Albemarle's stock on July 10.
