Gupta Technologies' Team Developer 6.2 Delivers an Advanced IDE and Multi-tier Application Design

ROSEVILLE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Gupta Technologies, a global provider of application development, database and migration software, today announced the availability of Team Developer 6.2. The new release features added capabilities and enhancements in the areas of developer productivity, usability and Microsoft .NET capability.

Used in organizations worldwide to build and enhance highly graphical .NET and Win32 business applications, Team Developer 6.2 enables 64-bit application deployment, 360 degree .NET debugging and provision and consumption of web services. Team Developer 6.2 enables debugging of any part of the .NET application including class libraries, web services and C# assemblies. The product's new Ribbon Bar delivers a visual UI to more quickly access application functionality. The new IDE enhancements speed developer productivity including open all file types and find all search functionality.

"One highlight in Team Developer 6.2 is the new enhanced Named Toolbar featuring the option to create buttons at runtime," said Uwe van der Horst, Head of Development/Director Software Development, Advo-web GmbH. "Team Developer 6.2 is the perfect solution to integrate our CTI-module into our main application. Every employee connected to our telephone system has their own named button in the toolbar. The color of the button shows their availability status. The context sensitive auto complete feature of combo boxes as well as the enhanced date time picker are nice additions to Team Developer. If all runs steady, we are well equipped for the next 2-3 years. I'm really looking forward to the release of Team Developer 6.2."

"Having developed with Team Developer since the days of version 1.5, I've seen a lot of growth in the product," said Ryan Phillips, MIS Director, Massillon Clerk of Court. "My experience with Team Develop 6.2 has been nothing less than impressive. The conversion from version 5.2 to 6.2 was effortless, and the new enhancements in the controls are great. I look forward to breathing new life into my older applications thanks to the ribbon menus, new grid structure and other improvements."

"Team Developer 6.2 builds on our commitment to customers to deliver development technology that makes their business applications simpler to build, faster to debug and easier to deploy," said Frank Verardi, General Manager of Gupta Technologies. "Through extensive testing, we validated the strength and quality of Team Developer 6.2, particularly for large applications and large numbers of application installations which we believe will be of benefit to all of our customers."
