ADTRAN Beats on Both Top and Bottom Lines

EPS came in at $0.21. The nine earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ anticipated $0.19 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.21 for Q2 were 45% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.38 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.17 for Q2 were 48% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.33 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 49.2%, 250 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 8.7%, 590 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 6.1%, 540 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $163.0 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.22.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $621.4 million. The average EPS estimate is $0.78.
