The Last of Us becomes fastest selling new IP in PS3 history with 3.4 million copies sold

Naughty Dog's The Last of Ushas sold more than 3.4 million copies worldwide as of July 3rd, making it both the fastest-selling PS3 title of 2013 as well as the fastest selling new software title in the history of the PS3.

The Last of Us was released on June 14 to critical acclaim. It currently sits at 95/100 on Metacritic with more than 30 perfect scores. Here on GameZone, where it was described by me as "one of the best current-gen (or any gen) titles I've ever had the pleasure of playing," it scored a 9.5/10.
