Citgroup Names New Board Members

Citigroup has added two new names to its roster of directors. Joining the banking giant as independent board members are Gary Reiner and James Turley, both finance industry veterans.

Reiner is the operating partner at privately held financial services company General Atlantic, a position he's held since 2010. Before that, he had been General Electric's chief information officer and senior vice president starting in 1996. Reiner also currently serves on the board of Hewlett-Packard.

Turley was the longtime chairman and CEO of Big Six accounting firm Ernst & Young, occupying both positions until his retirement late last month. He was appointed to the former job in 2001, and the latter in 2003. He started at the company in 1977.
