IT Industry Veteran Vincent A. Marin Joins Sidley Austin LLP as Chief Information Officer

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Sidley Austin LLP is pleased to announce that Vincent A. Marin has joined the firm as chief information officer. Mr. Marin, a consulting industry veteran, comes to Sidley from Huron Consulting Group, where he served as corporate vice president and CIO. He is a leader in his field and brings a wealth of knowledge to Sidley.

Mr. Marin has more than 20 years of professional services experience in working to help companies elevate the role of IT services and derive greater value from their investments in IT. He is widely recognized in the IT industry for his strong leadership and talent management skills, as well as his ability to continue the transformation of the role of IT services from a support function to an integral strategic function. While at Huron, Mr. Marin oversaw the company's IT services globally. He was also responsible for turning the IT culture into one of high performance, modernizing the company's IT functions and improving IT effectiveness by implementing several new systems that significantly enhanced Huron's leverage of IT in its work and drove efficiency and cost-savings. Previously, Mr. Marin spent 16 years at McKinsey & Company, rising to the role of director of IT services and CIO for the Americas region. While at McKinsey, Mr. Marin was a key figure in spurring the firm's growth by significantly enhancing its global IT functions, reducing operating costs, and leading IT service teams in the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. Earlier in his career, Mr. Marin served as an adjunct professor at DePaul University, teaching both MBA and MIS classes.
