Yahoo! Buys Fantasy Sports App Maker

Yahoo! is not letting up in its drive for new assets. It has acquired fantasy sports app specialist Bignoggins Productions, according to a blog post, and tongue-in-cheek video posted by company founder Jerry Shen, and confirmed by Yahoo! in an official Tweet. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Bignoggins Productions concentrates on apps that support fantasy football leagues. According to Shen's blog, the technology behind the firm's Fantasy Monster and Draft Monster apps will be integrated into compatible products from Yahoo! In the entry announcing the news, Shen said that key features of the apps -- including the ability to participate in mock and live drafts -- will be part of that integration.
