Ubisoft teases Prince of Persia and disappoints hopeful fans

Ubisoft seems to have an announcement in store forPrince of Persia.

Today a message appeared on the Prince of Persia Facebook page with 3.8 million "likes" that reads, "Get ready for some news about Prince of Persia, starting next week ..."

I have no clue what could be on the docket, but we'll find out soon. Some gamers speculate the news might be related to an iOS or Android release, and that seems to be the case. Jason Schreier of Kotaku tweeted, "Don't get too excited about that Prince of Persia Facebook tease: Ubisoft tells us it's a mobile game."

So it's probably not a new console title, unfortunately. A lot of fans were hoping it would be.

Ubisoft might just be revealing the release date for Prince of Persia: The Shadow and the Flame, a remastered version of the 1993 sequel. We'll learn more next week.
