OvaScience Added To Russell 2000®Index
CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- OvaScienceSM, (NAS: OVAS) , a life sciences company focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of new treatments for infertility, announced today that the Company has been added to the Russell 2000® Index. The inclusion is part of the annual reconstitution of the entire Russell family of indexes that took place on June 28, 2013 following the close of market.
The Russell 2000 Index measures the performance of the small-cap segment of the U.S. equity universe. The Russell 2000 is a subset of the Russell 3000® Index representing approximately 10 percent of the total market capitalization of that index. Russell indexes are widely used by investment managers and institutional investors for index funds and as benchmarks for both passive and active investment strategies. An industry-leading $4 trillion in assets currently are benchmarked to the Russell indexes.
