MFA Financial Keeps Dividend Steady

After raising its payout last quarter by 10%, residential mortgage-backed securities REIT MFA Financialannounced today it was keeping its second-quarter dividend steady at $0.22 per share.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on July 31 to the holders of record at the close of business on July 12. The real estate investment trust has made a payout to investors every quarter since 2006.

The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.88-per-share annual dividend, yielding 10.4% based on the closing price of MFA Financial's stock on June 27.
