WHAT:

Duracell Power Forward Trucks will be moving throughout southern Alberta to provide power relief in areas of greatest need, making stops every day to help families as well as first responders reconnect with loved ones and stay powered up when they need it most.

These trucks are part of Duracell's Power Forward fleet and are distributing over 20,000 free batteries to help power important devices such as flashlights and radios. At each truck stop, people will also have access to charging stations for mobile devices and computers.

In addition to deploying the Duracell mobile trucks, P&G relief efforts include Tide Loads of Hope, which will be offering full-service laundry.

These services will be free to all victims, first responders and their families.

WHY:

Having the necessary power to stay connected to loved ones during a time of adversity is a priority for everyone affected by the recent floods. The Duracell Power Forward Trucks will provide the ability for residents to stay connected and power up equipment to help keep them safe.

This program is being made possible with the support of Duracell's valued partners: the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs (CAFC), the Canadian Volunteer Fire Services Association (CVFSA) and Purolator.

WHERE/WHEN:

Starting at 9:30 AM on June 28th, one of the Duracell Power Forward Trucks will be roving the Sunnyside and Bridgeland neighbourhoods of Calgary.

The second truck will be en route to the communities of Canmore and Enshaw at 10:00 AM.

Tide Loads of Hope will be partnering with Glenmore Coin Laundry located at 6624 Centre Street SE, Unit 10B in Calgary, Alberta to offer washes and detergent from Thursday -Sunday.
