Netflix and Amazon: A Tale of 2 CEOs

The recent move from Netflix to of the Nickelodeon content that is owned by Viacom helps to bring into sharp relief the differences between not only these two streaming competitors but the individuals who run them. While Netflix's Reed Hastings points to his company's new deal with Disney when asked about the Viacom content Netflix lost out on, the very approach that he takes is telling. Amazon's Jeff Bezos has a very different tack. Ultimately, the direction of the industry should give each pause, but for now investors should understand each philosophy.
