"Brad has helped shape Palo Verde as one of the top nuclear generating facilities in the United States," said Randy Edington, APS executive vice president and chief nuclear officer, "as we achieve our goals of being an industry leader in safety, craftsmanship and field focus, and knowledge and training. He has shown strong leadership, a willingness to challenge and listen, and he has been a positive influence on Palo Verde's efforts to improve through employee engagement."

Berryman was named acting site general manager in March 2012 and was selected as site general manager in June 2012.

He came to Palo Verde in January 2011 as director, Strategic and Long-range Planning and Owner Affairs. Prior to Palo Verde, he was acting vice president of Operations and plant general manager at Entergy's two-unit Arkansas Nuclear One.

Berryman began his Entergy career in 1993 in Operations as a plant operator, and successfully moved up through a number of increasingly responsible positions, including licensed operator, control room supervisor, shift manager, refueling outage manager, work management manager and operations manager.

Prior to joining Entergy, Berryman served as a nuclear machinist mate in the U.S. Navy. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in organizational management from Central Baptist College, in Conway, Ark.

"With leaders like Berryman, we will continue to improve our performance and stay on course to achieve our mission to 'SAFELY' and efficiently generate electricity for the long term,'" Edington concluded.

Palo Verde is the largest nuclear power station in the nation. Its three units can generate more than 4 million kilowatts of safe, clean, reliable, low-cost electricity every hour - enough to serve about 4 million people.

In addition to the energy produced, Palo Verde has an estimated annual economic impact of $1.8 billion in Arizona through taxes, salaries, purchases of materials and services, and more.

Palo Verde is operated by APS and jointly owned by APS, Salt River Project, Southern California Edison Co., El Paso Electric Co., Public Service Co. of New Mexico, Southern California Public Power Authority and the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power.

APS, Arizona's largest and longest-serving electricity utility, serves more than 1.1 million customers in 11 of the state's 15 counties. With headquarters in Phoenix, APS is the principal subsidiary of Pinnacle West Capital Corp. (NYS: PNW) .
