DeVry Promotes Eric Dirst to President of DeVry Online Services, Chris Nash to Chief Information Officer

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- DeVry Inc. (NYS: DV) , a global provider of educational services, announced today it appointed Eric Dirst president of DeVry Online Services and Chris Nash as DeVry's chief information officer.

Previously, Dirst held the chief information officer post while also serving as interim president of DeVry Online Services and Nash served as chief technology officer.

"During his tenure as chief technology officer, Chris made valuable contributions in advancing our IT infrastructure, governance and metrics. In his new position, Chris will report to me and be responsible for leading the enterprise-wide IT strategy, execution and resources for all of DeVry," Hamburger added.

Prior to joining DeVry, Dirst was vice president and CIO at SIRVA Inc. Dirst is a member of the Hewlett Packard (HP) advisory board and a CIO advisory board member for the startup company IT Central Station (www.itcentralstation.com). He is also a member of the governing body of the CIO Executive Summit, and a regular blogger for CIO Talk Radio (www.ciotalkradio.com).

Dirst holds a Bachelor of Science double major in Business Operations and Applied Computer Science from Northern Illinois University.

Nash joined DeVry in 2010 as chief technology officer from Millward Brown Group, a global market research organization and division of Kantar Group. Previously, Chris held technical leadership roles at Kraft Foods, Inc., Greenbrier & Russell, and Rand McNally. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Beloit College and an MBA from Northwestern University.
