TechCrunch Disrupt San Francisco 2013 Announces First Round of Speakers

Premier industry event welcomes Marc Benioff, Jeff Weiner and Doug Leone to stage

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Today, TechCrunch announces the first set of its banner lineup of speakers for TechCrunch Disrupt San Francisco, the annual event that unites aspiring entrepreneurs, savvy investors and global thought-leaders.

Tech luminaries already confirmed to share their insights include:

  • Marc Benioff - founder, chairman and CEO of enterprise cloud computing leader, salesforce.com.

  • Doug Leone - venture capitalist focusing on software and communication investments at Sequoia Capital.

  • Jeff Weiner - CEO of the world's largest professional network, LinkedIn.com.

Collectively, these speakers offer attendees unique access to firsthand knowledge, letting the audience hear what it takes to build an industry-leading company right from the source.

In addition to onstage panel sessions and fireside chats, Disrupt features, as in years past, the Startup Battlefieldcompetition and Startup Alley.

Startup Battlefield competitors pitch their companies live and onstage to innovators, investors and influencers in the tech community. TechCrunch identifies emerging companies to demo and compete for a prize of $50,000 and the coveted Disrupt Cup. With previous years' winners and finalists including Mint.com, Yammer and Dropbox, this year's candidates promise another year of fierce, top-tier competition.

Startup Alley offers another way for early-stage companies, many launching for the first time, to gain exposure with a setup that encourages both exhibiting and networking. Roughly 100 startups comprise Startup Alley with around 50 new companies demoing on Monday and a whole new set of 50 companies on Tuesday.

Additional speakers and agenda details will be confirmed between now and the show - find all the latest information at the Disrupt San Francisco site.

Extra Early Bird tickets are available until July 15, 2013. Click here to purchase before they sell out.
