Voyager Legend® UC was recognized as "Best Of" in Consumer Electronic Technology Products
SANTA CRUZ, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Plantronics (NYS: PLT) , a pioneer in wearable technology, was awarded the 2013 American Technology Award in the Consumer Electronics Category by the TechAmerica Foundation. The American Technology Awards recognized the best products and services from across the technology industry at the gala event in Washington, D.C. last week. The Plantronics Voyager Legend UC headset was awarded as "Best Of" in the Consumer Electronics category.

The Plantronics Voyager Legend UC connects to a laptop, mobile phone or tablet via direct Bluetooth® or using the included USB adapter. The Voyager Legend UC has three precisely tuned microphones and enhanced digital signal processing (DSP) that optimize your voice and minimize noise caused by wind, movement, and background sounds.
Industry-first Smart Sensor™ technology intuitively directs calls to your phone or headset and allows you to automatically answer by placing the headset on your ear. The Voyager Legend proactively delivers voice alerts to keep you informed of battery level, connection status and announces caller name. The headset also takes voice commands such as "pair", "answer" or "ignore" to keep you in control of your technology.
The winners were awarded on the basis of a thorough evaluation by industry experts and technology leaders.
