GigaWave Technologies Debuts Connected Mobile Experiences Course at Cisco Live 2013

New Course From a Top Cisco Learning Partner Unlocks Capabilities of Cisco's Mobile Concierge Service, Location Analytics, and More

HUNT VALLEY, Md. & ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- TESSCO Technologies Incorporated (NAS: TESS) , a leading provider of the product and value chain solutions required to build, use and maintain wireless systems, today announced that its GigaWave Technologies division is launching a new course - Connected Mobile Experiences (CMX) - that prepares professionals to deploy Cisco Mobile Concierge services to clients, as well as to design and implement a billboard campaign to provide Layer 3 Mobile Concierge services. The announcement was made at Cisco Live 2013 in Orlando, Florida, a premier education and training event for IT, networking and communications professionals.

Built on the Cisco Unified Access infrastructure and Cisco Mobility Services Engine (MSE), Cisco Connected Mobile Experiences can help improve customer loyalty and increase revenue by delivering context-aware mobile information that matches customers' real-time needs and preferences. Advanced Location Services in Cisco MSE enable businesses to use Wi-Fi networks to engage consumers. Cisco Mobile Concierge facilitates mobile devices to discover network-based services available in a local network or services that are enabled through service providers. Once consumers are connected to a store's Wi-Fi network, they receive different services, including electronic coupons, promotional offers, customer loyalty data, product suggestions, and more.

GigaWave's new CMX class explains how Location Analytics works, the importance and impact of proper access point (AP) placement and its impact on location accuracy, and the differences in three possible deployment models for location services, which include the impact on bandwidth at the LAN, WAN, and Internet levels. The goal is to understand the capabilities of Cisco Location Analytics in turning client-positioning information into actionable business intelligence, and to integrate the Cisco Prime NCS (Network Control System) and Cisco MSE to provide Context-Aware Services and track mobile clients.

"We are excited about offering the CMX course because it unlocks the capabilities of Cisco's latest wireless hardware and firmware," said Charles Sablatura, director of training services, GigaWave Technologies. "It provides companies with built-in analytics that have the potential to increase profits by creating a Mobile Concierge experience."

GigaWave's two-day CMX v.1.0 course is now available as an instructor-led training (ILT) in a classroom setting. Price: $1,995.
