Although it might not seem like it, the global smartphone boom is still very much in its infancy. And, atop this game-changing trend, two players sit above the rest -- Apple and Samsung. In fact, according to some analysts, the pair took home the entire share of profits from the global smartphone market in the first quarter of this year. However, both have found themselves on the down-and-out lately -- to the chagrin of their shareholders.
