Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Names Fortin to Lead Executive and Professional Lines Business
BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance today announced the appointment of Dan Fortin as Senior Vice President, Executive and Professional Lines. Mr. Fortin was previously Senior Vice President of CNA Specialty.
"Dan has a stellar reputation in the industry and a proven record of spearheading quality, profitable insurance businesses," said David Bresnahan, Executive Vice President, Casualty, Healthcare, Executive and Professional Lines at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance. Mr. Fortin was responsible for management and professional liability globally at CNA Specialty for nearly a decade, and served as interim CEO of CNA Europe in 2009. He was also previously Managing Director, Aon Financial Services Group. Before that, he held various underwriting management positions at CNA Insurance Companies. He holds a bachelor's degree from Villanova University and a master's degree from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
