American Capital Mortgage Slices Dividend 11%

Mortgage REIT American Capital Mortgageannounced yesterday its second-quarter dividend of $0.80 per share, an 11% decrease from the payout it made to investors last quarter of $0.90 per share.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on July 26 to the holders of record at the close of business on June 28. The mREIT has made quarterly payouts to investors since 2011.

The regular dividend payment equates to a $3.20-per-share annual dividend, yielding 15.8% based on the closing price of American Capital Mortgage's stock on June 18.
