Host Hotels Raises Dividend 10%

Luxury hotel operator Host Hotels & Resorts announced yesterday its second-quarter dividend of $0.11 per share, a 10% increase from the $0.10-per-share payout it made last quarter.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on July 15 to the holders of record at the close of business on June 28. The owner of such marquee hotels as the Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, and Marriott has made quarterly payouts to investors since 2006. It has raised its dividend every quarter for the past 10 quarters.

The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.44-per-share annual dividend, yielding 2.6% based on the closing price of Host Hotels & Resorts stock on June 17.
