Spirit Realty Sets Q2 Dividend

Commercial real estate investor Spirit Realty Capitalannounced today its second-quarter dividend of $0.3125 per share, the same rate it paid last quarter. After going public in September, it began making payouts to investors in January.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on July 16 to the holders of record at the close of business on June 28. The self-administered and self-managed real estate company announced its first dividend last December of $0.0204 per share for the stub period from the completion of its IPO on Sept. 25, 2012. It then made a second dividend payment of $0.3125 per share for the fourth quarter ending Dec. 31, with both payable in January.

The regular dividend payment equates to a $1.25-per-share annual dividend, yielding 6.3% based on the closing price of Spirit Realty Capital's stock on June 14.
