PROS to Showcase Big Data Applications for Pricing,Sales Effectiveness at European Pricing Platform Aftermarket Forum

HOUSTON & LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- PROS® (NYS: PRO) , a big data software company, today announced its sponsorship of the second annual European Pricing Platform (EPP) Price and Profit Optimization Forum on Aftermarket. The conference, scheduled for June 19-20, will be held in Frankfurt, Germany, at the Westin Grand Hotel. The EPP is Europe's leading knowledge-sharing platform for the pricing and profit management community.

PROS EMEA Director of Marketing Ed Farquhar will be one of the event's featured speakers. In his address - "Pricing to Outperform: A Better than Average Strategy for the Service Parts Industry" - Farquhar will discuss how service parts companies can employ data science and predictive analytics to improve pricing and sales effectiveness, and outperform in their markets.

"Big data science and analytics help organizations improve performance, accelerate sales growth and improve customer experience," said PROS Chief Marketing Officer Tim Girgenti. "We applaud EPP's leadership in bringing together aftermarket leaders, and we look forward to sharing best practices and demonstrating how these organizations can create selling advantages using big data and prescriptive analytics."

"Today's economic conditions continue to reshape how organisations manage their growth plans," said EPP President Pol Vanaerde. "At no time has data played a bigger role in how companies can achieve strategic business advantages and drive their performance with outstanding results. We look forward to having PROS as a key contributor to our conference agenda."

According to EPP research, spare parts generate more than 50 percent of company profits in these organizations. Performance on spare parts and services significantly impacts customer satisfaction and brand loyalty, and the conference will focus on how companies optimise their price management and leverage their business data to unlock growth opportunities via big data analytics. The conference will showcase presentations from IDC, the London Business School, MAN Truck & Bus AG, Federal Mogul Corporation, Mahle Aftermarket GmbH and Heidelberger Druckmaschinen.

PROS is a founding member of the first EPP chapter serving Germany, Austria and Switzerland. EPP voted PROS Jochen Werner to that local chapter's leadership board of experienced business experts. By developing a local chapter for German-speaking countries, EPP aims to create close contacts with pricing practitioners and partners, while increasing an in-depth understanding of B2B and B2C challenges in today's volatile market environment.
