Dynex Capital Keeps Q2 Dividend Steady

Updated

Dynex Capital is maintaining its dividend. The company on Thursday declared a Q2 common stock distribution of $0.29 per share to be paid on July 31 to shareholders of record as of June 28.

That amount matches each of the REIT's previous four distributions, the most recent of which was handed out at the end of April. Prior to that, Dynex Capital paid $0.28 per share. The company's payout has almost tripled (from $0.10 per share to the present level) since it relaunched dividends in 2008 after a nearly 10-year hiatus.

The Q2 distribution annualizes to $1.16 per share, which yields 11.1% at Dynex Capital's most recent closing stock price of $10.48.
