American Greetings Keeps Dividend Steady

Updated

Greeting card maker American Greetings announced today its second-quarter dividend of $0.15 per share, the same rate it's paid since 2011.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on July 15 to holders of record at the close of business on July 3. The greeting card maker has made quarterly payouts to investors since 1997, but had suspended the dividend in 2002. It reinitiated the payout in 2004 and has consistently paid dividends since then.

The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.60-per-share annual dividend, yielding 3.3% based on the closing price of American Greetings' stock today.
