Bard Increases Dividend 5%

Medical device maker C.R. Bard announced yesterday its third-quarter dividend of $0.21 per share, an increase of 5% over the $0.20 per share payout it made last quarter.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on Aug. 2 to the holders of record at the close of business on July 22. The medical device maker has made quarterly payouts to investors since 2000, and has increased the dividend every year since 2005.

The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.84-per-share annual dividend, yielding 0.8% based on the closing price of C.R. Bard's stock on June 12.
