WEX to Provide Virtual Payments Solution for Wotif Group
Strengthens WEX's Global Presence in Travel Payments Sector through Wright Express Australia Subsidiary
SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- WEX Inc. (NYS: WEX) , a leading provider of corporate payment solutions, today announced the WEX Virtual card solution is being adopted by Wotif Group, a leading travel website headquartered in Australia, as an alternative payment method for Wotif Group's accommodation partners. This customer win builds on WEX's entrance into Australia, and expands upon its virtual card success in the United States, United Kingdom and Brazil.
Greg Drumm, managing director, Asia Pacific of Wright Express Australia, said, "WEX Virtual's innovative card technology enhances security by allowing precise control over payment authorizations. A virtual card is used just once per transaction and users can set precise authorization controls, including value limits. This helps prevent the occurrence of inaccurate or unapproved payments. In addition, the solution interfaces with suppliers' existing booking systems and workflow processes."

The Wotif Group will introduce the new WEX Virtual card solution by August this year.
