Magellan Launches New Medicaid HMO Plan in Florida That Focuses on Integrated Health Care

AVON, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Magellan Health Services Inc. (NASDAQ: MGLN) today announced it is formally launching Magellan Complete Care in Florida, a new Medicaid HMO health plan, initially serving Broward County. Magellan, a recognized national leader in managing behavioral health, radiology and pharmaceutical benefits, has combined its significant experience and resources with the traditional health plan services to create a unique model of care that integrates the management of behavioral and physical health services.

The Care Coordination Teams, including a dedicated health guide, also help by scheduling appointments, getting transportation to appointments, and assisting with adhering to treatment plans.
