Karen Short to Join Deutsche Bank as Food Retail Research Analyst

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Deutsche Bank today announced that Karen Short will join as a Director and research analyst covering the Food Retail sector within the Bank's Markets division. She will be based in New York and report to Steve Pollard, Head of Research for the Americas. In her new role, she will cover conventional supermarkets, natural and organic food retailers, convenience stores, distributors and vitamin retailers.

Short brings nearly 15 years of experience to the Bank's clients. Most recently she covered consumer and food retail for four years at BMO Capital Markets and has held positions covering the sector at FBR Capital Markets and SAC Capital Management. She started her equity research career in 1999 at Lehman Brothers.


In 2011, Short was ranked #1 in the Wall Street Journal's annual Best on the Street Survey for Food & Drug Retailers coverage.

In 2012, Deutsche Bank ranked top 5 in Institutional Investor's All-America Research Team 2012 client survey.
