PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Avnet, Inc. (NYSE:AVT), a leading global technology distributor, has been honored as Business of the Year by the Chandler Chamber of Commerce. The 26th Chandler Community Awards recognized outstanding businesses and individuals from the Chandler, Arizona community. Avnet earned the Business of the Year award for its ongoing commitment to the Chandler community.

Several community members and nonprofit organizations nominated Avnet for this prestigious award. A committee comprised of city leaders, nonprofit organizations and other businesses selected Avnet from a list of nearly 30 other nominated companies.
