Immersion Licenses Haptic Technology to Sharp Corporation

Tactile effects integrated in NTT DOCOMO AQUOS PHONE ZETA SH-06E Smartphone

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Immersion Corporation (NAS: IMMR) , the leading developer and licensor of touch feedback technology, today announced that the recently released docomo AQUOS PHONE ZETA SH-06E manufactured by Sharp includes Immersion's haptics technology. The smartphone includes Immersion's TouchSense® and Integrator software and is Sharp's first device to market under its new license agreement with Immersion.

The AQUOS PHONE ZETA SH-06E is available in Japan through NTT docomo. The AQUOS PHONE ZETA SH-06E's screen is an FHD resolution IGZO screen which does not only provide high-quality images, but its unique low power consumption technology makes a significant contribution to the product's battery life which can last for up to more than 2 days. The f/1.9 camera lens which allows for taking crisp photos, and a music player with high audio quality and extended playing time are also pleasant additions for making the AQUOS PHONE ZETA SH-06E an overall high-end phone that meets the needs of the modern day mobile user.
