JMP Group Announces Addition of Thomas Healy as Director of New York Institutional Sales
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- JMP Group Inc. (NYSE: JMP), an investment banking and alternative asset management firm, announced today that Thomas M. Healy has joined JMP Securities as a managing director and director of New York institutional sales. Mr. Healy reports to Director of Equities Thomas Wright and is based in the firm's New York office.

"He has been a well-regarded institutional salesperson in the New York region for more than 15 years and has held equity sales leadership positions for much of that time. Prior to joining JMP Securities, Mr. Healy worked in institutional equity sales at Susquehanna Financial Group and Pali Capital, covering major New York area accounts at both firms. He was previously a managing director at UBS, serving as co-head of New York equity sales for the majority of his four-year tenure, and at Friedman, Billings, Ramsey & Co., serving as head of the New York office for six years while overseeing the creation and expansion of the firm's institutional brokerage platform there. Mr. Healy started his institutional sales career at BlueStone Capital Securities. He holds a BA from University of Massachusetts Amherst.
