Digital Insurance Forms Strategic Alliance with Cash & Associates

Deal Merges Local Firm's Group Benefits Division Into Digital Benefit Advisors' Orlando Office

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Digital Insurance (www.digitalinsurance.com), the nation's largest and most technologically advanced employee benefits-only agency, has entered into an agreement with Cash & Associates of Orlando, Fla., folding the firm's health insurance and benefits division into the Orlando office of Digital Benefit Advisors (DBA), a division of Digital Insurance. The merger enhances services offered to Cash & Associates clients, helping them better navigate the impending challenges of health care reform, and affords DBA customers access to retirement and estate planning expertise provided by Cash & Associates.

"Uniting Cash & Associates group benefits department with our DBA/Orlando expands services available to all clients and bolsters our presence in the central Florida market," says Bruce Goin, managing principal of DBA/Orlando. "This relationship leverages the strengths of both firms, while enabling our clients access to the 401K expertise and deferred compensation capabilities for which Cash & Associates is known."

DBA combines the commitment of experienced, local market advisors with the sophisticated technology and innovative resources of a respected national company. Employers receive access to a broader variety of carriers, dynamic tools, proprietary products and the ability to effectively navigate the complexities of health care reform. One significant advantage includes direct policy holder access to a Customer Advocate Center, where knowledgeable and licensed Digital representatives answer benefits and policy questions, enabling employers to free-up overworked HR departments.

"With the significant anticipated changes in the benefits sector, aligning with a highly regarded company such as Digital enables us to continue delivering a superior level of expertise and service to our customers," says John Cash III, CFP®, CLU, ChFC and president of Cash & Associates. "Digital is ahead of the curve, already having in place the resources, technology and infrastructure to thrive in the evolving benefits business, and its deep bench will strengthen our marketplace position."

"Cash & Associates has earned an outstanding reputation throughout Florida and the country," explains Mike Sullivan, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Digital Insurance. "By working together, we are now in a unique position to provide amplified services and resources to help employers and policy holders."

Founded in 1980 by John Cash Jr., Cash & Associates will continue providing retirement and estate planning services to the independent firm's 40 corporate customers and 200-plus individual clients. Two Cash & Associates employees have joined the DBA Orlando office to continue supporting the 50 group benefits customers now being serviced by Digital.
