Donation technology allows youth under 18 to safely support the national animal welfare organization

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Virtual Piggy, Inc. (OTCBB: VPIG), an innovator in safe youth payments online, today announced that it has teamed up with the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) to enable youth under 18 to safely and directly donate to the ASPCA online. In celebration of this new relationship, starting June 3, 2013 Virtual Piggy will donate $1 to the ASPCA for each user that joins Virtual Piggy for free at: www.virtualpiggy.com/ASPCA.

Virtual Piggy promotes financial management while empowering youth under 18 to make charitable donations, purchasing, saving and other money management decisions for themselves, within the boundaries set up by parents. The technology serves as a family wallet that is available online or via mobile, and is always 100 percent free to use.

The ASPCA, America's first animal welfare organization, has worked to make the country a safer place for animals for nearly 150 years. The ASPCA is a national leader in the areas of anti-cruelty, community outreach and animal health services.

"Kids and teens have always had a concern and passion for the welfare of animals," said Elysia Howard, Vice President of Marketing and Licensing for the ASPCA. "Now they can feel empowered to directly contribute to a cause they deeply care about."

"Philanthropy is important to us and a key component to a well-rounded knowledge of financial literacy," said Dr. Jo Webber, CEO and Founder of Virtual Piggy. "We are excited to be able to work with the ASPCA, who is one of the Virtual Piggy members' favorite charities."
