PARSIPPANY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Vlasic®, a portfolio brand of Pinnacle Foods Inc., is celebrating the start of barbecue season by serving as a major sponsor for The 2013 Big Apple Barbecue Block Party on June 8th and 9th from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in New York City's Madison Square Park. Southern Living is the presenting sponsor of the event in partnership with Real Simple, Cooking Light and MyRecipes.com. The event is presented by Danny Meyer's Union Square Events, Blue Smoke and Jazz Standard.
More than 140,000 people are expected to attend The Big Apple Barbecue Block Party with the opportunity to enjoy free samples of crisp, delicious Farmer's Garden by Vlasic pickles at various tasting stations throughout the event. Farmer's Garden pickles will also be included in several recipes prepared by the pitmasters and Vlasic's corporate executive chef exclusively for the event.
