Viscount Systems Reports Increased Sales of Software Licenses

BURNABY, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Viscount Systems Inc. (OTCMARKETS:VSYS) a developer and manufacturer of IT-based solutions for physical security systems, announced today that the Company continues to see increases in software license sales of its Facility Friend visitor management solution, since the launch of its partnership with Evolis (ALTVO.PA), a publicly-traded, French manufacturer of ID cards and printers. Under the agreement, Facility Friend software is being packaged under the Hello Visitors label and with the Evolis Tattoo RW printer. The company has sold approximately 100 licenses of its software since March 2013.

"After the announcement of our partnership with Evolis in November of last year, Viscount and Evolis officially released the final software platform in March of this year, so we are very pleased to see the success of this project and the month over month increases in license sales in this short time period," noted Stephen Pineau, President and CEO of Viscount. "In addition to creating a new high margin revenue stream the project is giving us a great deal of exposure in France and is creating opportunities for other Viscount products in the European market. As a result of the successful launch we are also pleased to announce that Evolis will be expanding their sales efforts into additional European countries and we have completed a German language version with plans to add additional languages including Dutch and Spanish."

Viscount's Facility Friend is comprehensive, user-friendly software, which enables precise analysis of visitor streams. A highly intuitive dashboard makes it possible to list visitor identities, state how many visits are underway, schedule facility visits, manage unwelcome visitors and generate an evacuation report listing visitors present onsite. For optimized management of visits over time, this software package also allows a database of visitor contacts to be quickly drawn up through the use of forms. Finally, the platform creates custom templates for photo ID and identification badges.

The Evolis Tattoo-RW rewritable card printer supplied with this software provides an economical and efficient response to any problems relating to visitor and employee streams. Indeed, Tattoo-RW was designed to wipe and print new data onto a single badge up to 500 times. Because of the limited timeframe in which such a badge is generally used, it is the rewritable aspect of this application which really sets it apart, making it possible to re-use each card up to 500 times.

Hello Visitors is packaged with card template software, which allows anyone to personalize badges simply by adding text, a logo, and an image or photo.
