NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Milberg LLP reminds investors that class action lawsuits have been filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania on behalf of purchasers of UniTek Global Services, Inc. ("UniTek" or "Company") (NasdaqGM: UNTK) between May 18, 2011 and April 12, 2013, inclusive (the "Class Period").
Milberg LLP has created a website (www.unitekgloballawsuit.com) to answer questions about shareholder class actions.
The lawsuits allege UniTek and certain of its officers and directors violated the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. The complaints claim UniTek issued materially false and misleading statements which led to an inflated stock price during the Class Period.
On Friday, April 12, 2013, UniTek announced that it will restate financials for the previous two years. A UniTek probe found fraudulent activities, within a subsidiary, that resulted in improper revenue recognition. UniTek also removed Ronald Lejman as chief financial officer and Treasurer.
In reaction to the news, UniTek's share price fell 50% from a closing price of $3.01 per share on Friday, April 12, 2013 to $1.52 per share on Monday, April 15, 2013.
If you purchased UniTek shares during the Class Period you may, no later than June 18, 2013, request that the Court appoint you lead plaintiff. A lead plaintiff is a class member that directs the litigation. Your share in any recovery will not be affected by serving as a lead plaintiff. You do not need to be a lead plaintiff to recover.
