Hospitality Properties Sets Preferred Dividends

Hotel and travel center operator Hospitality Properties Trust announced today its second-quarter dividend of $0.4453125 per share on its 7.125% Series D preferred stock that trades on the NYSE under the symbol HPT-PD.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on July 15 to the holders of record at the close of business on June 28. The Series D preferreds have a liquidation preference of $25 per share.

Hospitality Properties also pays a regular dividend that equates to a $1.88-per-share annual dividend, yielding 6.4% based on the closing price on May 31. It has paid a dividend since 1995.


Headquartered in Newton, Mass., the real estate investment trust owns or leases 290 hotels and 185 travel centers located in 44 states, Puerto Rico, and Canada.
