Kangaroo Express Celebrates National Donut Day with Free Donuts for Guests

Featuring exclusive offers and deals on donuts all week long in advance of National Donut Day on June 7

CARY, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Kangaroo Express, the leading independently operated convenience store chain in the southeastern United States, operated by The Pantry, Inc. (NAS: PTRY) , today announced it is celebrating National Donut Day on Friday, June 7 by offering a free donut for every guest at its more than 300 bakery-ready Kangaroo Express convenience stores throughout the Southeast.

Guests can stop by any participating Kangaroo Express between 7 and 9 a.m. on June 7 to enjoy a complimentary fresh, delicious donut. (One per customer, while supplies last.) Donut lovers are encouraged to arrive early, as these donuts are expected to go fast!

National Donut Day celebrates The Salvation Army volunteers who provided writing supplies, clothing-mending and home-cooked meals, including donuts, for soldiers during World War I.

"With more than half of our stores located within 25 miles of a military installation, many of our guests have that same All-American helping spirit as the original Salvation Army volunteers during that first National Donut Day in 1938. That's why National Donut Day is the perfect time to show our appreciation for our guests with great donut deals all week long," said Joe Venezia, senior vice president of operations, Kangaroo Express. "We hope our guests join The Roo to celebrate National Donut Day, grab a fresh cup of Bean Street Coffee and continue to choose Kangaroo Express for fresh, great tasting breakfast options."

In advance of National Donut Day, Kangaroo Express is keeping the donut deals going all week long. From Monday, June 3 through Friday, June 7, guests can take advantage of the following delicious offers: six donuts for $4.49; two donuts for $1.79; donut holes for 99 cents; and $2 breakfast combo, including the option of a 20 oz. Bean Street Coffee or orange juice paired with either a donut or Jimmy Dean® sausage on a biscuit.

Bean Street Coffee is the unique brand of coffee served only at Kangaroo Express convenience stores. It can be customized with options such as sweeteners and flavor shots, including caramel and vanilla, and additions such as extra boosts of caffeine and whipped topping.
