KBR Awarded Task Order Under Air Force Contract Augmentation Program

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- KBR (NYS: KBR) announced the award of a task order to its joint venture with CH2M Hill (CH2M Hill/KBR Global Services), under the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP) to provide, operate, and maintain power plants at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar for the U.S. Air Force. The period of performance of the task order is a base year plus two option years with an estimated value of $17.9M.

The scope of work includes provision of all transportation, management, labor and selected equipment as necessary to provide electrical power production and distribution to various base facilities on Al Udeid Air Base and the airfield lighting system, as well as training of Air Force personnel on the aircraft arresting systems installed on the airfield.
