United Offers Flat-Bed Seats on International Routes

Updated

United Continental's flagship carrier United Airlines is hoping that comfort will win it some high-end business. The company announced today that 182 of its aircraft that fly international routes from the New York City region will be equipped with 180-degree flat-bed seats in its premium cabins.

According to the firm, United is the only U.S. airline offering such amenities, in combination with the personal on-demand entertainment options it provides to premium-class passengers.

All told, United has more than 450 daily departures to more than 150 cities abroad from the three major New York area airports: Newark Liberty, JFK, and LaGuardia.
