QEP to Pay Next Dividend in June

QEP Resources is letting its dividend flow. The company has declared a quarterly payout of $0.02 per share, to be paid on June 22 to shareholders of record as of June 3. That amount is in line with all of the firm's previous distributions stretching back to the first one it handed out in September 2010.

QEP Resources is maintaining its dividend policy despite posting a net loss in its most recent quarter. That shortfall amounted to $4.3 million ($0.02 per share), compared to a profit of $155 million ($0.87) in the same period the previous year.

The current dividend annualizes to $0.08 per share. That yields 0.3% at QEP Resrouces' most recent closing stock price of $28.67.
