Martin Marietta Keeps Dividend Steady

Construction aggregates-maker Martin Marietta Materials announced yesterday its second-quarter dividend of $0.40 per share, the same rate it's paid since 2008.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on June 28 to the holders of record at the close of business on June 3. Martin Marietta has made a quarterly payout consistently since 1994.

The regular dividend payment equates to a $1.60-per-share annual dividend, yielding 1.4% based on the closing price of Martin Marietta Materials' stock on May 23.
