CBS Keeps Dividend Steady at $0.12

Mass media giant CBS announced yesterday its second-quarter dividend of $0.12 per share, the same rate it paid the last three quarters, after raising the payout 20%, from $0.10 per share.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on July 1 to the holders of record at the close of business on July 10. CBS has paid a dividend every year since at least 2003.

The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.48-per-share annual dividend, yielding 0.9% based on the closing price of CBS's stock on May 23.
