Tempur-Pedic to Change Company Name

Updated

Tempur-Pedic International has woken up with a new name. Stockholders at the firm's annual general meeting approved a change to the company's appellation; it is now to be known as Tempur Sealy International. The change reflects the company's acquisition of fellow mattress maker Sealy, which was completed this past March.

A new website featuring the changed name, www.tempursealy.com, has been launched.

In spite of these modifications, other key elements of the firm's operations will remain the same. It will continue to be headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky, and its subsidiaries will retain their current names. As for the company's relationship with the capital markets, it will continue to use its long-standing ticker symbol, TPX.
