Investors Capital Launches 2X Initiative to Help Financial Advisors Double Their Production
Two-day June workshop hosted by Mr. Ron Purvines, Investors Capital's 2012 top advisor
LYNNFIELD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Investors Capital Corporation (ICC), the premier independent broker/dealer of Investors Capital Holdings, Ltd. (NYSE MKT: ICH), launches its 2X initiative with a 2-day workshop June 3-4, 2013 at The Sheraton Colonial in Wakefield, MA. The goal of the 2X initiative is to help Investors Capital financial advisors double their production in four years. The 2X challenge was put forth by Investors Capital President and CEO Timothy Murphy at the firm's national conference held this past February. 2X was the theme of the event.

I not only want our advisors to double their individual production, I want Investors Capital as a firm to double its size over the next four years. I know we will succeed."
The 2X IN FOCUS workshop, the first in a series of 2X events to be held throughout the year, will be attended by nearly 100 Investors Capital financial advisors and led by Mr. Ron Purvines, Investors Capital's top-producing advisor in 2012. Mr. Purvines will be teaching attendees the 8-step methodology he has used to become a million-dollar producer during his career. He will focus on marketing, appointment setting, initial interviews, portfolio composition, implementation, servicing, client events, and referrals.
"I owe my success to four main guiding principles within my practice: respect, return, retain, and referrals," said Mr. Purvines, founder and owner of Countrywide Estate Planning of Henderson, NV. "Each of my eight steps fall into one of those four categories. I have found that being disciplined in the first three principles, the fourth principle happens naturally. These principles are simple and can work for any advisor."
The event, which sold out quickly, begins with a working dinner that concludes with a homework assignment. The next day follows a tightly structured format that focuses on each step for 30-45 minutes. The workshop concludes with a question and answer session followed by a marketing plan assignment, the completion and execution of which will be tracked by Investors Capital home office staff.
